Climate Equity
Climate equity refers to ensuring that the benefits and responsibilities of addressing climate change are shared fairly among different communities. It recognizes that marginalized and vulnerable populations often face greater risks and have contributed less to climate problems but suffer more from their impacts. Achieving climate equity involves creating policies that support those most affected, providing resources and opportunities fairly, and involving communities in decision-making. Ultimately, it aims for a just transition toward a sustainable future, so no one is disproportionately burdened or left behind.
