Climate Change Paris Agreement

The Paris Agreement is an international pact adopted in 2015 where countries commit to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to limit global temperature rise to well below 2°C, aiming for 1.5°C. This helps prevent severe climate impacts like extreme storms, rising sea levels, and droughts. Countries set their own emission reduction targets, known as Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and review progress every five years. The agreement encourages global cooperation to transition to cleaner energy sources, protect ecosystems, and promote sustainable development, making climate action a shared responsibility to safeguard the planet for future generations.
