Clementine (moon mission)
The Clementine mission was a NASA spacecraft launched in 1994 to map the Moon's surface. Its goal was to gather detailed images and data about lunar terrain, including craters and mineral composition, to better understand the Moon's history and geological features. Using radar and imaging instruments, Clementine provided high-resolution maps that helped scientists learn about the Moon's structure and resources. The mission also tested technology for future space exploration. After its primary objectives, it continued collecting valuable data until it ended in 1994, contributing significantly to lunar science and planning for subsequent missions.
