cleavage (anatomy)
In anatomy, "cleavage" refers to the natural fold or separation between the breasts, often visible on the chest. It is created by the shape and positioning of the breasts relative to the sternum (breastbone) and shoulders, along with the surrounding tissues. The term can also describe a soft depression or groove that forms between the breasts when they are close together. This area is influenced by the size, shape, and positioning of individual breasts, and it varies from person to person. Cleavage is a normal anatomical feature and contributes to the overall contour of the chest.
