Claudication

Claudication is a condition where a person experiences pain, cramping, or tiredness in their legs or arms during physical activity, such as walking or climbing stairs. This discomfort occurs because blood flow is restricted, usually due to narrowed or blocked arteries, which limits oxygen and nutrients reaching the muscles. When at rest, symptoms often improve as blood flow increases. Claudication is commonly associated with peripheral artery disease (PAD) and signals underlying circulatory issues that may require medical attention to prevent worsening.
