Class AB Amplifiers

Class AB amplifiers are electronic devices that boost audio signals with high efficiency and low distortion. They operate by combining features of Class A (which offers good sound quality but uses more power) and Class B (which is more efficient but can produce distortion). In Class AB, the output devices (transistors) conduct for slightly more than half of the signal cycle, minimizing distortion while conserving energy. This balance results in clearer sound reproduction and better power efficiency, making Class AB amplifiers popular in home audio systems and professional audio equipment.
