Clarifiers
Clarifiers are large, specialized tanks used in water and wastewater treatment plants to improve water quality. Their primary function is to allow solid particles—like dirt, waste, and other sediments—to settle out of the water by gravity. Once the solids settle at the bottom, they are removed as sludge, leaving clearer water on top. Clarifiers also help remove oils and other floating substances. This process is essential for producing clean, safe water suitable for reuse, environmental discharge, or further purification. They are a key step in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of water treatment systems.
