Claimants and Respondents
In legal and administrative contexts, a "Claimant" is a person or party who brings a dispute or complaint to a court or tribunal, seeking a remedy or compensation. They are effectively saying, "I believe I have been wronged." A "Respondent," on the other hand, is the individual or party who is being accused or challenged by the Claimant. The Respondent must respond to the Claimant's claims, often defending their actions or providing evidence. Together, these roles frame legal disputes, where the Claimant seeks justice and the Respondent answers the allegations.
