Citizens' Assembly of British Columbia
The Citizens' Assembly of British Columbia is a group of randomly selected residents who come together to carefully study and discuss important political issues, such as electoral reform. Their goal is to represent diverse perspectives, deliberate thoroughly, and make recommendations based on the collective judgment of everyday citizens rather than political elites. This process aims to increase democratic participation, ensure decisions reflect public values, and improve governance by involving ordinary people in shaping policy options through informed, unbiased deliberation.
