
CIRI (Cook Inlet Region, Inc.)
Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) is a nonprofit corporation representing Alaska Native shareholders from the Cook Inlet area. It was established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act to manage land, resources, and business ventures for the benefit of its shareholders. CIRI invests in various industries such as real estate, natural resources, and financial services, generating income to support community programs, education, and cultural preservation. Essentially, CIRI empowers Alaska Native people by managing assets that promote economic development and improve their quality of life while respecting their cultural heritage.
