Circularity Gap Report

The Circularity Gap Report measures how efficiently our economy uses resources by comparing the amount of materials supposed to be reused or recycled (the "circular" part) to the total resources we extract and use. A low gap indicates a more circular economy, where waste is minimized and materials are kept in use longer. Conversely, a large gap shows that most resources are used once and then discarded, leading to environmental strain and waste. The report highlights the need to adopt circular practices to reduce resource depletion, waste, and environmental impact.
