Circle of Courage
The Circle of Courage is a model for fostering healthy development in young people, based on four key principles: belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity. Belonging emphasizes positive relationships and feeling connected; mastery involves developing skills and competence; independence encourages self-reliance and decision-making; and generosity focuses on caring for others. Together, these components create a supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being, resilience, and ethical growth. The model is often used in education and youth programs to help guide positive behavior and personal development.
