CIPA

CIPA, or the Children's Internet Protection Act, is a U.S. law that requires schools and libraries receiving certain federal funds to implement measures that filter or block accessing inappropriate or harmful online content. Its goal is to protect children from exposure to harmful material on the internet, such as violent or adult content. While these measures aim to enhance safety, they do not prohibit all internet use but help ensure a safer online environment for minors. Schools and libraries must also educate users about responsible internet use under CIPA.
