CILSS

CILSS, or the Permanent Interstate Committee for drought control in the Sahel, is a regional organization of West African countries working together to address drought and improve food security. It coordinates efforts to manage water resources, support agriculture, and develop early warning systems to prevent crises caused by droughts. By uniting governments and partners, CILSS aims to build resilience in vulnerable communities across the Sahel region, which includes countries like Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso.
