Ciliary muscle

The ciliary muscle is a small, circular muscle located inside the eye, near the lens. Its main function is to help the eye focus on objects at different distances by changing the shape of the lens. When you look at something up close, the ciliary muscle contracts, making the lens thicker to focus clearly. When you look at something far away, the muscle relaxes, allowing the lens to become thinner. This process, called accommodation, enables us to see objects clearly at various distances. The ciliary muscle is essential for maintaining sharp, focused vision.
