"Cicatrices"
Cicatrices, commonly known as scars, are the natural tissue that forms when the skin repairs itself after an injury, such as a cut, burn, or surgery. When the skin heals, the body produces collagen, a protein that helps close the wound. This new tissue differs in texture, color, and appearance from surrounding skin, often resulting in a visible mark. Scars can vary in size and shape and may fade over time, but they usually remain as a lasting reminder of an injury. Their development is a normal part of the body's healing process.
