Church of Antioch

The Church of Antioch was one of the earliest Christian communities, founded in the city of Antioch (modern-day Turkey) shortly after Jesus' ministry. It became a major center for early Christianity, known for its diverse and inclusive approach, welcoming Gentiles (non-Jews). The followers of Christ in Antioch were among the first to be called "Christians." The church played a key role in spreading Christianity across Asia Minor and beyond, and it also served as a vital hub for theological development and missionary efforts during its early centuries.
