Chronic eosinophilic leukemia

Chronic eosinophilic leukemia (CEL) is a rare type of blood cancer where the body produces too many eosinophils, a type of white blood cell involved in fighting infections and controlling immune responses. When these cells grow uncontrollably, they can accumulate in the blood and organs, causing damage. Symptoms may include fatigue, weight loss, fever, and swelling. CEL is typically diagnosed through blood tests and bone marrow analysis. It requires treatment with targeted therapies, such as tyrosine kinase inhibitors, to control the abnormal cell growth and prevent organ damage.
