
Christian IV
Christian IV was King of Denmark and Norway from 1588 to 1648, known for his ambitious efforts to strengthen his kingdoms and expand their influence. He promoted trade, built a strong navy, and initiated numerous construction projects, including iconic buildings in Copenhagen. His reign was marked by involvement in the Thirty Years' War, ultimately leading to economic strain and military defeat.
