Christian Anarchism

Christian anarchism is a belief that true Christianity advocates for a society without hierarchical governments or institutions of authority. Its followers interpret Jesus' teachings—such as loving neighbor and rejecting violence—as calls to oppose both political and religious oppressive structures. Christian anarchists seek to live according to these principles by prioritizing compassion, voluntary community, and personal responsibility over coercive systems. They believe that genuine faith involves a love-driven rejection of authority that contradicts Jesus’ message of peace and equality, aiming to create a society rooted in mutual respect and nonviolence rather than state power or hierarchy.
