Chrism Mass

The Chrism Mass is a special religious service held by Christian bishops, typically during Holy Week. During this Mass, the bishop blesses and consecrates three types of holy oils: one for anointing catechumens and the sick, one for anointing and empowering priests, and one for dedicating churches and sacred objects. These oils are then distributed to priests and churches in the diocese to be used throughout the year. The service emphasizes the unity of the church community, the commissioning of clergy, and the renewal of faith and dedication in preparing for Easter.
