Choroid Plexus
The choroid plexus is a network of specialized cells and blood vessels located within the brain's ventricles (fluid-filled spaces). Its main role is to produce cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which cushions and nourishes the brain and spinal cord. The choroid plexus also helps regulate the composition of the CSF, removing waste products and maintaining a stable environment for the nervous system. Essentially, it acts as a filter and producer, ensuring the brain remains protected, clean, and properly balanced.
