chlorine isotopes

Chlorine has two main isotopes: chlorine-35 and chlorine-37, both with the same number of protons but different numbers of neutrons. This variation makes them slightly different in mass. In nature, about 75% of chlorine atoms are chlorine-35, and about 25% are chlorine-37. These isotopes behave almost identically chemically, but their mass difference can be used in scientific analyses, like tracing environmental processes or studying ancient materials. The presence of these isotopes influences the properties of chlorine-containing compounds and helps scientists understand various natural and industrial phenomena.
