Chinese politics

Chinese politics is centered around the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which holds ultimate authority. China has a one-party system where key decisions are made by the Party’s central leadership, including the General Secretary (currently Xi Jinping). The government manages policy across various sectors, and while there are legislative bodies like the National People’s Congress, they largely serve to endorse decisions made by the Party. The political structure emphasizes stability, economic development, and maintaining Party control, blending centralized authority with pragmatic governance to influence both domestic affairs and China's role on the global stage.
