Children Born through Surrogacy
Children born through surrogacy are those whose biological parents use a surrogate mother to carry and deliver the baby. In this process, either the intended mother’s eggs are combined with the father's sperm (traditional or gestational surrogacy), or a fertilized embryo created via in-vitro fertilization is implanted into the surrogate. The surrogate agrees to carry the pregnancy for the intended parents, who then become the child's legal parents after birth. Surrogacy offers a path for individuals or couples unable to conceive naturally, and the child’s biological and legal relationship depends on the specific arrangements involved.
