Child Support Agency (UK)
The Child Support Agency (CSA) in the UK was an organization responsible for ensuring that non-custodial parents contribute financially to the upbringing of their children after separation or divorce. It assessed how much these parents should pay based on their income and circumstances, facilitating payments to the custodial parent. Established in 1993, the CSA aimed to reduce child poverty and provide financial support for children. In 2012, it was replaced by the Child Maintenance Service (CMS), which continues to perform similar functions with updated processes and policies for managing child support arrangements.
