Chick embryo
A chick embryo is the developing stage of a chicken before it hatches, formed inside an eggshell. It begins as a single cell, which divides and grows into various tissues, organs, and eventually a tiny chick. During incubation, usually about 21 days, the embryo develops recognizable features like a beating heart, beak, and wings. Studying chick embryos helps scientists understand how vertebrates develop, including humans, because they share many biological processes. The process is natural for birds and involves careful development of all body systems within the protective egg environment.
