Chi squared analysis

Chi-squared analysis is a statistical method used to determine if there’s a significant difference between observed data and what we would expect to see if there were no real effect or relationship. For example, it can test whether two categorical variables, like eye color and preferred snack, are independent or linked. It compares the actual counts (observed) with the counts we’d expect if there were no connection, calculating a value to see if differences are likely due to chance or suggest a real association. This helps researchers understand patterns and relationships in categorical data.
