Chest MRI
A chest MRI, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging, is a medical imaging technique used to create detailed pictures of the organs and tissues in your chest, including the heart, lungs, and blood vessels. Unlike X-rays or CT scans, it uses strong magnets and radio waves instead of radiation, making it safer for some patients. Doctors use chest MRIs to diagnose various conditions, such as tumors, infections, or issues with the heart valves. The procedure is painless and involves lying inside a large, tube-shaped machine for about 30 to 60 minutes while images are taken.
