Cherokee Indians

The Cherokee Indians are a Native American tribe originally from the southeastern United States, including areas of present-day North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. They have a rich history and culture, with their own language, governance, and traditions. Historically, the Cherokee were skilled farmers, hunters, and artisans. In the 19th century, forced removal policies led to the tragic Trail of Tears, where many were relocated west of the Mississippi River.
