
Chen Shuren
Chen Shuren (1850–1923) was a prominent Chinese general and revolutionary who played a key role in the late Qing Dynasty's efforts to modernize and resist foreign influence. He led military campaigns to defend China's sovereignty and was involved in revolutionary activities aiming to overthrow imperial rule. As a military leader, Chen recognized the importance of modernization and trained troops to adapt to new warfare techniques.
