Chen's Theorem
Chen's Theorem is a significant result in number theory that suggests every sufficiently large even number can be written as the sum of a prime and a number that is either prime or a product of two primes (called a semi-prime). Essentially, it brings us closer to understanding the famous Goldbach Conjecture. While the theorem doesn't prove that every even number is the sum of two primes, it demonstrates that large even numbers can be broken down into a prime plus a semi-prime, providing valuable insight into the structure of numbers and their relationships.
