Chemotaxis assays

Chemotaxis assays are laboratory tests that measure how cells, such as immune cells or bacteria, move in response to chemical signals. In these assays, a chemical attractant is placed on one side of a device, and cells are placed on the other. If the cells detect the chemical, they migrate toward it, indicating chemotaxis. This helps scientists understand how cells respond to signals involved in processes like immune response, infection, or development, providing insights into cellular behavior and the effects of different substances on cell movement.
