Cheddar Caves

Cheddar Caves are a series of underground limestone caves located in Somerset, England. Carved over thousands of years by underground streams, they feature impressive formations like stalactites and stalagmites. The caves are historically significant for discovering some of the earliest known British prehistoric human fossils, known as the Cheddar Man. Today, they are a popular tourist attraction, offering guided tours that explore their natural features and ancient history. The caves also host a cheese-making museum, celebrating the region’s famous Cheddar cheese.
