Chasqui
Chasquis were ancient Inca messengers who played a vital role in communication across the vast Andean empire. They traveled along an extensive relay system of runners, known as quipus, delivering messages, news, and small parcels rapidly between distant regions. Chasquis were highly trained, pushing themselves to run great distances with speed and endurance, often carrying important information that maintained the empire's coordination and governance. This relay system allowed the Incas to transmit messages swiftly across challenging terrains, functioning much like a postal service but through a network of trained runners.
