Charters of Freedom

The Charters of Freedom are foundational documents that establish the core principles of the United States government. They include the Declaration of Independence, which announced independence from Britain and affirmed rights like liberty and equality; the Constitution, which sets up the government structure and its powers; and the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments that guarantee individual freedoms such as speech and religion. These documents collectively define the nation’s core values, limit government power, and protect citizens' rights, serving as the legal and ideological foundation of American democracy.
