Charon
Charon is the largest moon of Pluto, orbiting the dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt. It is about half the size of Pluto, making their relationship unique in the solar system. Unlike typical planet-moon systems, Charon and Pluto are considered a "binary system," as they both orbit a common center of mass outside of either body. Charon has a heavily cratered, icy surface and is believed to have a rocky core. Its proximity and size relative to Pluto make their interactions complex, providing valuable insights into the characteristics of icy bodies in the outer solar system.
