Charm quarks

Charm quarks are fundamental particles that are one of six types, known as "flavors," of quarks. They are much smaller than atoms, existing inside protons and neutrons, which make up the nucleus of atoms. Charm quarks are heavier than many other quarks and are produced in high-energy environments like particle accelerators.
