
Charles J. McGee
Charles J. McGee was a highly accomplished American fighter pilot and military officer, known for his remarkable service in the U.S. Air Force. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, he flew over 400 combat missions in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, making him one of the most experienced military pilots in history. He also was a pioneer as an African American in aviation, breaking racial barriers and inspiring many. McGee retired as a brigadier general, recognized for his leadership, bravery, and contributions to military aviation.
