Charles Fox Parham
Charles Fox Parham was a key figure in the early 20th-century revival of Pentecostalism, a Christian movement emphasizing personal experience with God through the Holy Spirit. He is best known for promoting the idea that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit. In 1901, he founded a Bible school in Topeka, Kansas, where students began experiencing this phenomenon, marking a significant moment in Pentecostal history. Parham's teachings influenced many, including those involved in the Azusa Street Revival, which further spread Pentecostal beliefs across the United States and globally.
