Charles Alderton

Charles Alderton was a pharmacist and beverage maker in Waco, Texas, best known for creating Dr. Pepper in 1885. Working at Morrison’s Old Corner Drug Store, he experimented with various syrups and flavors to craft a unique, refreshing carbonated drink. His inventive process led to the development of the popular soft drink, which became famous for its distinctive blend of flavors. Alderton’s innovation contributed significantly to the soft drink industry, establishing Dr. Pepper as one of the oldest and most recognizable brands in the world.
