Chargeback Rebuttal

A chargeback rebuttal is a response submitted by a merchant to challenge a customer's dispute over a credit card transaction. When a customer requests a chargeback, it means they are asking their bank to reverse a payment they believe was invalid or unfair. The merchant can submit evidence—such as proof of delivery, receipt, or communication—to prove the transaction was legitimate.
