Charge-Parity Symmetry

Charge-Parity (CP) symmetry is a principle in physics stating that the laws of nature should be the same if we swap particles with their antiparticles (charge conjugation) and mirror the universe's positions (parity). Essentially, it suggests that the behavior of matter and antimatter should be identical when reflected in a mirror. While CP symmetry generally holds, experiments have shown tiny violations, which are important for explaining why our universe is dominated by matter rather than antimatter. These violations deepen our understanding of fundamental physics and the origins of the cosmos.
