Charge Neutrality

Charge neutrality refers to the balance of electrical charges within an object or substance, meaning it has no overall electric charge. This occurs when the number of positive charges (protons) equals the number of negative charges (electrons), resulting in a net charge of zero. For example, in a typical atom, the positive and negative charges balance out, making it electrically neutral. This balance is essential because it influences how objects interact, with neutral materials not attracting or repelling each other due to electric forces unless influenced by an external electric field.
