Character motivations
Character motivations are the reasons behind a character's actions, choices, and behaviors in a story. They are what drive a character to do certain things, shaped by their desires, fears, beliefs, and experiences. Understanding motivations helps explain why characters behave the way they do and makes their actions feel authentic and understandable. For example, a character might seek revenge because they were wronged, or pursue friendship to overcome loneliness. Motivations add depth to characters, making them more relatable and compelling because their decisions are driven by their inner needs and goals.
