Chang'e (Lunar Exploration Program)
Chang'e is China's lunar exploration program, named after the Chinese moon goddess. It involves sending robotic spacecraft to study the Moon, including orbiters, landers, and rovers. The program aims to gather scientific data on lunar surface composition, geology, and environment, as well as test technology for future crewed missions. Notable missions include Chang'e 4, the first to land on the Moon's far side, and Chang'e 5, which successfully brought lunar samples back to Earth. The program advances China’s space capabilities and contributes to global lunar science and exploration efforts.
