Chandrayaan (ISRO)
Chandrayaan is India's lunar exploration program conducted by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It involves sending spacecraft to the Moon to study its surface, composition, and geography. The program aims to enhance understanding of lunar geology, identify water or ice deposits, and gather data to support future missions. Chandrayaan-1, launched in 2008, discovered water molecules on the Moon, while Chandrayaan-2, launched in 2019, included an orbiter, lander, and rover to conduct detailed surface analysis. These missions advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate India’s capabilities in space exploration.
