CHAMPs

CHAMPs is a classroom management approach that stands for Conversation, Help, Activity, Movement, and Silence. It encourages students and teachers to communicate and collaborate effectively by signaling what they need or what’s happening. For example, a student can use CHAMPs signals to ask for help, indicate they need quiet time, or suggest switching activities. This system promotes clear expectations, reduces disruptions, and supports a positive learning environment by fostering respectful routines and clear communication among everyone involved.
