Chamomile Preparation

Chamomile preparation typically involves making a tea by steeping dried chamomile flowers in hot water. First, measure about one to two teaspoons of dried chamomile and place them in a cup or teapot. Pour boiling water over the flowers and let it steep for 5-10 minutes, allowing the active compounds to extract into the water. Strain the flowers out or use an infuser. The resulting infusion can be enjoyed warm or cooled. Chamomile tea is commonly used for relaxation, digestion, and sleep. For added flavor, some people add honey or lemon.
