Cham
Cham is a language spoken primarily in the coastal regions of Vietnam, particularly by the Cham people who have a rich cultural history. It belongs to the Austronesian language family, which includes languages like Malay and Tagalog. Cham has its own unique script and has been influenced by neighboring cultures such as Indian, Vietnamese, and Malay. Although many Cham speakers are bilingual, the language is an important part of their cultural identity. Today, Cham is recognized as a minority language in Vietnam, with efforts to preserve and promote its use amidst modernization.
